About
About Eximius Writing Services
Eximius Writing Services is a Florida litigation support firm founded by attorney Sahily Picon. We research and write appellate briefs, motions, and legal memoranda for solo and small-firm litigators across Florida, and support attorneys nationwide.
Our story
Sahily Picon founded Eximius in 2012 after practicing civil litigation at a small firm in South Florida. Working there, she saw how quickly solo and small-firm attorneys could burn out, stretched between court dates, clients, and running a practice, with too little time left for the research and writing that wins cases. She wanted more freedom and flexibility, for herself and for the attorneys she would serve.
Eximius was built to give those attorneys the research and writing depth of a large firm without the overhead. What makes Eximius stand out is that its lawyers handle every case as if they were a partner at your firm.

Frequently asked questions
Where are you located?
We're based in Wellington, Florida, and work remotely with attorneys throughout the state and nationwide.
Who do you work with?
Primarily solo and small-firm litigators in Florida, as well as attorneys in other states who need appellate or litigation support.
Who works on the projects?
Every project is researched, written, and reviewed by a licensed Florida attorney. Our paralegal supports intake, exhibits, and scheduling, but never the legal work itself.
What areas of law do you handle?
Civil matters, including family law, insurance and personal injury, real estate, foreclosure, and HOA disputes, commercial, contract, and construction disputes, employment disputes, and probate and trust. We do not handle criminal matters.
Do you work with attorneys outside Florida?
Yes. We support attorneys in federal court and in other states. Hearing and deposition coverage and mediation support are for Florida cases only.
Will my client know you were involved?
No. We work behind the scenes and communicate with your client only if you ask us to. The work product is yours.
Do you work directly with litigants or self-represented parties?
No. We work only with attorneys, who remain counsel of record. We typically do not communicate with litigants unless our attorney clients request it.
How do you check for conflicts?
Before every engagement, we ask for the names of all parties and check them against our current and past matters. If there's a conflict, we tell you right away.
How do you keep my client’s information confidential?
Your case is handled only by our team. Everything you share stays with us and is used only for your matter.
Do you use AI?
Yes, as a tool, never as the primary author. We've developed our own rules and instructions for how AI is used in our work, and an attorney verifies every citation, quotation, and legal proposition against the original source before anything reaches you. We also always conduct our own independent research on a trusted legal research platform. The analysis and strategy are ours, and every document is reviewed, edited, and finalized by an attorney before it goes out. AI helps us work faster; it doesn't replace our judgment.
